Since 2005 TDX has partnered with
the MBE firm Howell Industries on most of its major
projects. Bill Howell, President of Howell Industries,
has
decades
of experience
as an MBE contractor himself and as an advocate
for M/W/LBE participation programs. Bill was instrumental
in developing
several of the NYC SCA’s initiatives to
support small contractors in the areas of financing
and bonding.
Bill is
currently managing M/WBE outreach and workforce
participation efforts and providing staff for
the TDX/Howell team
on both our Mentor Program and Emergency Response
Program
contracts
for the SCA.
The TDX/Howell team has
also worked on several other major projects: a $200 million
Expansion and Modernization of Harlem Hospital;
construction of a new $30 million commercial/industrial
building and new NYPD Tow Pound offices as well as a $80
million new
Food Processing Facility in the Brooklyn Navy Yard; and
a new $54 million North Instructional Building at Bronx
Community
College.
